Sport science knowledge has been around for many years, yet often it does not filter down to recreational or teenage athletes. I have taught and coached in a number of sports and it is my observation that in sport specific coaching qualifications the sport science knowledge is limited such that the specifics of coaching the sport are prioritised. I studied Strength & Conditioning in order to be able to bring more sports science knowledge to those who participate recreationally and who have goals to become and perform better in their sport.

We know that if athletes in any sport engage in training to develop their fitness, strength, balance and mobility, they perform better in their sport.
